The holiday community of Bispingen lies in the heart of the Lüneberg Heath natural park. The Wacholderpark ['Juniper Park'] facility is based here too. Elderly people are cared for here in an individual, professional manner in a location close to the residential area. Long-term as well as short-term care accommodation is available here.

The lighting facilities at Wacholderpark no longer complied with the modern requirements for economical lighting suitable for the needs of the elderly. As part of the renovation work in the entrance hall, corridor and leisure area, as well as in the stairwell, the existing lighting needed to be replaced with a modern lighting concept. The primary planning aim is to improve visibility, to prevent falls and to deliver the natural level of lighting required.

VIVAA LED room light was chosen for the areas of high foot traffic, and was supplemented by biologically effective lighting. This creates lighting conditions similar to natural daylight, meaning that it casts relatively few shadows and is glare-free. The high proportion of indirect light delivers homogeneous and pleasant lighting and makes rooms appear more spacious and more inviting. This takes account of the needs of this building's guests, who require enhanced levels of illumination and freedom from glare. At the same time, this new lighting makes a great contribution towards reducing the incidence of falls.

Some of the residents suffer from dementia, which means that they perceive their environment differently. They are afraid of darkened faces or patches of light on the floors. This uniform illumination of rooms and faces will help to reduce these light-dependent sources of uncertainty. VANERA ORBIT is being employed in the stairwell and vestibule. The LED room light blends harmoniously with the architecture, it assures good lighting conditions and it improves safety.
