Winsen-Luhe is a vibrant city to the south of Hamburg and situated in a beautiful landscape. In summer 2012 a new retirement centre of the Integra Seniorenimmobilien GmbH & Co. KG was launched. Currently nine centres offer high-quality care, taking into account the latest scientific studies. Elementary values are not being compromised on either by the employees: personal well-being, community and protection of privacy are key elements.

The care centre opened in June 2012 and offers 110 fully stationary care places in single or double bedrooms organised in living or care groups.

Integra's experience made them clearly define their requirements on lighting solutions: they wanted a uniform, glare-free light with high luminosity, like the one installed in the Integra retirement home in Hamburg, plus the installation of biodynamic lighting. The VISUAL TIMING LIGHT (VTL) light management system not only serves to cut energy costs but also to activate the residents.

The multi-purpose VANERA and AMADEA room luminaires have been installed in almost every single area of the care centre. The VANERA provides uniform light distribution in the residents' rooms, the staircase and in the corridors. The splash-proof VANERA Bath version ensures ideal light conditions in the nurturing bathroom. Foyer, common room and dining room are equipped with biologically effective lighting. The AMADEA and VANERA room luminaires have been upgraded with the VTL light management system (Human Centric Lighting). This naturally supports the daily routine. And last but not least, the lighting system also adheres to the VDI 6008 requirements on accessibility.
